Our Story
In 2019, Indian karting track operators had two options: expensive imported petrol karts with high running costs, or cheap Chinese electric karts that broke down weekly. Neither option made business sense.
Formula-Zero was founded in Tamil Nadu with a different approach: build electric karts from the ground up for commercial use. Not hobby karts scaled up. Not petrol karts with motors swapped. Purpose-engineered machines where every component is chosen for one thing: making the operator money.
Under the leadership of CEO Sarthak Piplani, we partnered with KnK Karts (25 years in chassis engineering), sourced Korean EV-grade cells, and built the technology stack in-house: FlashCharge, QuickSwap, Smart BMS, IoT diagnostics.
Today, Formula-Zero karts run at tracks across India. They've logged over 10 lakh kilometres, generated more than ₹15 crore in revenue for our clients, and saved operators ₹1.1 crore compared to petrol.

Not a petrol kart with a motor bolted on. Every frame is designed around battery packs, electric motors, and regenerative braking from day one. Lower centre of gravity. Optimised weight distribution. Better handling.
Korean EV-grade battery cells (260 Wh/kg). Italian Righetti brakes on the Vertex. Imported controllers and motors. We picked every supplier for reliability and longevity, not just price.
KnK Karts has been building professional kart chassis for a quarter century. Steel alloy frames, UV-treated HDPE guardrails, adjustable everything. Built for the punishment of commercial daily use.
